What’s Happening at MCL – July 2021

Manheim Community Library will be open for 1st Thursday (and every Thursday) until 8 p.m. We will also be outside sharing information about the Library and the Summer Reading Program. Author Mike Resh will be giving away signed copies of his children’s book, Dnierf. Drop by and say hello!

Readers of all ages will enjoy animal stories this summer as Manheim Community Library joins the Library System of Lancaster County in presenting the “Tails and Tales” 2021 Summer Reading Program. The countywide reading program begins June 5 and will run through August 14.

Tails and Tales is divided into four reading levels: Read Aloud (birth-4 years), Elementary (ages 5-9), Tween (ages 10-12) and Teen (ages 13-19). To complete the challenge, participants read and complete activities related to the arts, STEM, physical fitness, community, and learning. Participants may choose either the virtual (Beanstack) or the paper challenge. Details are available at lancasterlibraries.org/srp. Paper logs are available at Manheim Community Library.

Adults may choose to participate in Manheim Community Library’s Adult Summer Reading Program to be entered into a grand prize drawing. Visit the Library for registration forms and details.

Get Outdoors this summer with the Summer Fitness Quest. Youth (ages 5-12) can sign up for the challenge and earn a medal for visiting 5 parks or other outdoor recreation areas. Those who visit 10 or more will be entered into a drawing for a GIANT gift card. Details available at lancasterlibraries.org/sfq.
Adults, don’t miss out on the fun! Sign up for our Summer Reading Program just for you. The more you do the more chances you have to win our grand prize. Details and registration at the Library.
